Internally, Advensus has taken steps to ensure that our systems remain up, despite any failure that may occur by providing redundant hardware for all levels of our systems and networks.
In the event of a carrier failure, Advensus will automatically re-route traffic using two diverse carriers providing a fully-redundant system that continues to serve our customers even in the event of a major outage.
During recent years in the United States and Worldwide, online crime and identity theft have become the fastest growing crime. The industry of electronic payment cards known by its initials in English as PCI (Payment Card Industry) has established a new standard of security called Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)
This standard is the result of collaboration between all major credit card brands and the card issuers in the work American Express, Discover Financial, JCB Co., MasterCard Worldwide and Visa International. These companies are collectively known as the PCI Council and have decided to implement a mandatory regulation to all companies that process, store or transmit credit card or any electronic payment method involving these brands.
Advensus has revised every company process including the transmission and storage of credit card information. This revision is to ensure that every process complies with the PCI DSS standards. Advensus is in the process of becoming the first PCI DSS certified call center service provider in the Dominican Republic.
The fraud prevention department investigates and prevents fraud. Fraud risk can best be managed through preventative and detective control measures. Advensus has developed an anti-fraud culture and has defined management and employee responsibilities for each area. We promote an open and honest culture within the organization which deems unethical behavior unacceptable. Management and staff are encouraged to report suspicious activity while guaranteeing anonymity. All investigations are carried out objectively, confidentially and independently of the line management for the area in which the fraud has occurred or is suspected.
